Scenes

Every summer runs on the same handful of moments. This is our tribute to them.

About the Collection

We are not the first family to do this.

There is a paper-covered table somewhere on the American coast right now with a dozen steamed crabs on it, mallets, a paring knife, cold beer, and an open can of seasoning. Someone at that table learned how to eat crabs from their grandfather. That grandfather learned from his father. The paper is the same paper it always was.

The Scenes collection is our tribute to the rituals that get passed down on the coast — the crab feast, the dawn dock, the first light on the water, the porch light left on. Every design is a scene, not a symbol. Every scene is a moment that generations of coastal families have lived through in some form.

We render them in the vintage screen-print tradition — the same visual vocabulary used by the WPA travel posters, the old sporting goods catalogs, the folk art of the Depression-era coast. Not because we're nostalgic, but because that tradition rendered the American coast better than any tradition since.

Wear one to your feast. Or to the one your neighbor throws.
